Drystone walls in Little Glenshee, Perthshire.

Being a drystone waller in Perthshire means that I am surrounded by beautiful examples of drystone everywhere I go. I always marvel at the remote locations in which some of these walls are built. Little Glenshee isn’t far from where I live and I love the long walls out there. We usually park near the small ford, on the road from Luncarty. Great in summer as you can paddle in the warm, running water as you cross and a much faster crossing in winter to avoid the freezing water running into your boots. It’s always important to remember that most of this type of land in Scotland is for sheep grazing openly, so dogs should remain on leash.
