New Build Drystone Wall, St Fillans, Perthshire
Our client needed a retaining drystone wall around an area where a stable will be built, so using Swinton Rubble we created this 10m long, chunky, random style drystone retaining wall as a functional but attractive solution to the issues at hand. Whilst digging out foundations we uncovered a seam of bedrock (which is the darker stone you can see at the bottom of the wall in the image below) and this dictated where the corner would lie as we had to build directly onto it which was an interesting challenge! Random style gives you lots of room for snecks and jumpers which creates an attractive, traditonal looking wall.
