Article on Drystone Walling for Barley Magazine

An old drystone sheep fank with wooden gates and fences and mountains rising behind it.

Earlier in the year, Kristie was asked to write a piece on her journey so far in drystone, for Barley Magazine. The article was released yesterday and in it Kristie covers drystone, deep time, brochs and sustainability, on a large scale, but also within day to day life. Well worth a read if you enjoy nature writing, Scottish landscapes, history, and looking at the world from a more wholistic perspective. Barley is a modern whisky magazine and the content is testament to the fact that its creators understand whisky, and its vast connections. There are many wonderful articles to interest you on their website, so do have a look around while you are there.

You can read Kristie’s piece at the link below, it’s a long form article so perhaps good to read with a morning coffee or on a commute etc. Do let us know what you think.
